Our story
Why We Started Room for Tomorrow
I’ve spent much of my career in technology. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be—how it changes the way we work, learn, communicate, and experience the world.
And I’m genuinely excited about what comes next, especially with AI making things possible that we couldn’t have imagined just a few years ago.
But somewhere along the way, I’ve found myself thinking more about a different question: What do we want technology to make possible in our lives, beyond the screen?
I’m also a mother of two boys. And one of the things that fascinates me most is how differently they see the world. They have strong opinions, endless questions, unexpected ideas, and perspectives that often make me stop and reconsider my own.
My older son, Arhaan, shares my curiosity about technology, science, and what we might build with them. Our conversations about ideas, possibilities, and the world we want to see helped shape Room for Tomorrow from the very beginning.
We cofounded Room for Tomorrow around a belief we both share: young people shouldn’t just be the audience for the future we’re creating. They should have a hand in shaping it.
We bring different perspectives to what we’re building. Mine comes from years of working in technology and business, and from being a parent. His comes from growing up in a world where technology is everywhere—and from seeing possibilities that adults sometimes overlook.
I think about families, too. We’re more digitally connected than ever, yet it’s surprisingly easy to go through a day without having a meaningful conversation with the people closest to us.
We don’t believe technology is the enemy of human connection. Quite the opposite. We believe we’ve barely scratched the surface of how thoughtfully designed technology could help us connect more deeply, create more freely, and understand one another better.
What if a small interaction on a phone led to a conversation around the dinner table?
What if something a child made with their hands became the beginning of an extraordinary story?
What if we gave young people more opportunities to share what they really think—and gave the rest of us a reason to listen?
That’s the thinking behind Room for Tomorrow.
We’re starting with children and families, but the idea is bigger than any one age group or product.
We want to build experiences that bring the digital and physical worlds closer together. Experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, make space for different voices, and lead us back to the people and world around us.
We’re early. We’re experimenting, building, and learning. We don’t pretend to have all the answers.
But we believe this is an important time to ask better questions about what we’re building with technology—and what kind of future we want it to help create.
Because to us, the future of technology shouldn’t just be about what machines can do.
It should be about what they help us do together.
